We’ve removed the paywall on yesterday’s story re: the end of the joint civic center at Chapel Hill, the City’s decision to sell/develop their underlying parcel, and Sno-Isle’s decision to go it alone on a new library. You can read the story here:
We are being taxed by Sno-Isle, so it's only right they take on the library project as implied in the annexation measure. Also, rather than being rescinded, the city library tax prior to annexation was supposedly redirected to sidewalks and other transportation projects. They must have forgotten, as they are now asking for a sales tax increase to cover those same things.
