The playoffs begin 2 pm Saturday at Lake Stevens Stadium as the Lake Stevens Vikings (7-0, 4-0; #1 RPI) welcome the Emerald Ridge Jags (5-4, 4-4; #26 RPI) of the South Puget Sound League (SPSL).

The Vikings are the state’s top ranked team — at least according to the WIAA’s RPI system — and they welcome an upstart South Puget Sound League team led by a sophomore QB with offers from the University of Nevada and Florida Atlantic University.
