SEATTLE, WA – Tyran Stokes, the consensus No. 1 basketball recruit in the Class of 2026, is currently leading the state’s top-ranked Rainier Beach Vikings (12-1) under a grant of full athletic eligibility that was obtained via a registration process plagued by dishonest or incomplete information and the systematic omission of the recent violent disciplinary history that compelled the move out of California.

While Seattle Public Schools (SPS) officials presented Stokes’ transfer as a “bona fide change of residence” compelled by his mother’s new job, the reality on the ground in Southern California was far more volatile. Sources with direct knowledge of the incidents confirm that Stokes was facing a “mutual parting of ways” after a series of escalating disciplinary issues.
