Snohomish - Devon Wheat had 21 points – including 19 in the second half – leading the 3A Snohomish Panthers (2-1) over neighboring 4A Lake Stevens (0-1) in a tightly-contested non-league battle that came down to the final minute.
Tied at 51 with 53 seconds left, Lake Stevens controlled, but a Grant Smith steal — and Smith’s assist to a streaking Cade Yoder — gave the Panthers the 53-51 lead.
