Five Lake Stevens Vikings Named to the All State Football Team -- & All Five Return Next Year
Vikings place five juniors on the WSFCA All State team: QB Moser, RB Ferrell, WR Price, OL Lynch. Archbishop Murphy adds four including 2A POY; Snohomish DB makes 3A team.
The Washington State Football Coaches Association (WSFCA) released its 2025 All-State First Team package today, and the Lake Stevens Vikings are once again well-represented among the state’s elite.
Five Lake Stevens Viking juniors earned 4A first-team honors, following another deep postseason run culminating in a 13-1 season and second place finish.
The Viks are unusually well-positioned to make another run at the title, stacked with as much returning All State talent as any team in the state. See below for a write up on each Lake Stevens honoree, which includes a link to an individual article posted for all five Viks.
Read on for 4A players of the year, a look at how Puyallup, Graham-Kapowsin and Sumner were represented on the team, as well as an update on Archbishop Murphy and Snohomish players named all state.
Lake Stevens Vikings on First Team All State
The Vikings’ high-powered offense and stout defensive front were the highlights of this year’s selections:
BLAKE MOSER, ALL STATE QUARTERBACK
Quarterback Blake Moser, a junior, was named First Team All State for 4A after the signal-caller wrapped a stellar season leading the Lake Stevens attack.
Blake Moser went from a relative unknown (in football) outside of Lake Stevens… to a two-time All State selection and All Area Player of the Year selection — after an electric campaign leading state runner-up Lake Stevens.
Moser passed for 2,612 yards at 67%, throwing 39 TDs against just 6 interceptions and adding 16 rushing touchdowns and 850 yards on the ground at over 12 yards per carry. Moser showcased an ability to take it to another level in key moments, from his initial start in the season’s opener, when he threw a game-winning touchdown to Seth Price as time ran out to beat defending champion Sumner 31-28 as time ran out; to the last two games of the season at the business end of the playoff schedule, in which Moser increasingly took matters into his own hands to stunning effect against the state’s stiffest competition.
Moser was especially “dynamite” on the ground, showing off straight line speed in the 4.4s and breathtaking agility, creativity and ability to change direction at high speed. The junior standout rushed 27 times for 281 yards and 6 TDs combined in the State semifinals and 4A finals. He accounted for all five Lake Stevens TDs in the Vikings’ 41-35 OT loss to Sumner in the final, after which Sumner head coach Keith Ross said Moser was “the most dynamite player I’ve seen in my 28-year career.”
The two sport star (Perfect Game underclass 100 as a sophomore, batted .377 and hit 94.6 mph on the mound in WIAA playoffs) has recently said he’s open to pursuing football, baseball or both at the next level.
WILL LYNCH: FIRST TEAM ALL STATE O-LINE
Lake Stevens Junior OG & three-year-starter Will Lynch secured a First Team spot on the 4A offensive line.
Will Lynch started at left tackle as a freshman in the Viks’ 31-6 state championship win over Graham-Kapowsin and has continued to excel since, starting at right guard the last two seasons and contributing on defense as well, where he earned All Wesco honors as a defensive lineman.
Viking line coach Geoff Dishion has repeatedly said he believes Lynch is the best offensive lineman in the state. Lynch has multiple offers including Nevada-Las Vegas.
LAKE’S JAY FERRELL: FIRST TEAM ALL STATE RB
Junior Jayvian Ferrell earned a First Team All State running back selection.
The honor came after a stellar season in which the first year starter rushed for 1,764 yards on 177 carries, an average of ten yards per rush.
Ferrell compiled a total of 25 touchdowns, 24 on the ground and boasted two 200+ yard performances in the Viks’ playoff run: a 17 carry, 239 yard and four TD performance against Woodinville and a 20 rush for 222 yard 3 TD day against Moses Lake.
The first year starter ran a 4.48 40 at the Vikings Spring Combine, one of the fastest times in team history. Ferrell broke a 73-yard touchdown against Sumner on the first play of the season and went on to break off ten rushes of 50 yards or more.
VIKING STAR SETH PRICE EARNS SECOND ALL STATE HONOR
Seth Price, a top Class of 2027 WR recruit with offers from Nevada and Montana State was recognized with a First Team selection.
Price has long been a Viking stalwart, jumping into the spotlight with an 11 catch performance in his first start: at Sumner in 2024.
After injuries slowed an excellent Sophomore campaign, Price returned in 2025, linked with Moser and compiled a season that resulted in two All State selections.
Price is currently ranked the 12th-best prospect in WA for the Class of 2027 and the #2 wide receiver in the state behind four star Brayden Pope, a UW-commit. Price holds offers from Nevada and Montana State so far.
Price’s standout games included a 204 yard three touchdown performance at Ferndale and a six catch, 146-yard, 2 TD performance in the state semifinals against Graham-Kapowsin and the Class of 2027’s top defensive back.
VIKS’ TAUTOLO: FIRST TEAM ALL STATE FOR D-LINE
Defensive Line: Junior Ty Tautolo represented the Vikings on the First Team defensive front.
Junior Ty Tautolo moved to Lake Stevens from across Machias prior to the season and made an immediate impact on defense and special teams.
Tautolo emerged as an unstoppable force late in the playoffs, pressuring the Graham-Kapowsin passing game and providing Lake’s most dependable answer to the near-unstoppable Lance McGee.
Tautolo led Lake in tackles in the semifinals and state finals, over which the 6’5 260 pound enforcer compiled 20 total tackles and nine tackles for a loss. On the season, Tautolo was tenth in 4A and second on Lake Stevens with 90 tackles. Tautolo finished one behind Keegan Brown for the lead in tackles for a loss with 31 and added six sacks.
Tautolo played some tight end for the Viks and had a catch against Sumner week one. He’s expected to make the switch to starting left tackle under the tutelage of Vikings line coach Geoff Dishion, a move that will certainly have recruiters’ attention.
Tautolo is a high-three star prospect rated fifth in WA for 2027 on the 247 Composite. He has at least ten known high major offers including Notre Dame, UW and Oregon.
McGee, Jay, Coleman-Brusa Named State Players of the Year FOR 4A
The WSFCA recognized top individual performers for their impact on the 2025 season:
Overall State Player of the Year: Lance McGee (RB, Senior) from Sumner.
Offensive Player of the Year: Brady Jay (QB, Senior) from Moses Lake.
Defensive Player of the Year: Derek Colman-Brusa (DL, Senior) from Kennedy Catholic.
Rival Watch: Sumner, Puyallup, and Graham-Kapowsin
While Lake Stevens had a strong showing, several South Puget Sound League (SPSL) powerhouses also crowded the All-State roster:
Sumner (6 Selections): Led by Overall Player of the Year Lance McGee, the Spartans placed a total of six players on the First Team, including Elijah Thomas (OL), Shaun Griffith (DL), Gray Longeria (DL), and Israel Nabors (DB).
Puyallup (5 Selections): The Vikings to the south matched Lake Stevens with five selections, featuring juniors Gecova Doyal (OL), Michael Putalasi (LB), sophomore Brytan Bailey (RB), and seniors Jasiah Denmark (DB), and Lawson Looker (WR).
Graham-Kapowsin (3 Selections): The Eagles saw senior Douglas Peterson IV (OL) and juniors Julius Hernandez-Avila (DL), and Kase Betz (WR) make the cut.
Lake Stevens returns the most All State talent in the 4A division, where Lake, Puyallup and Graham-Kapowsin are seen as 2026 favorites with two-time defending champion Sumner graduating State Player of the Year McGee, among others.

In other 425-area news, state champion Archbishop Murphy placed four seniors on the 2A All State team, including state player of the year Jack Sievers (TE/DE), a Wisconsin recruit. Also earning First Team All State for the Wildcats: WR Henry Gabalis, a four star Arizona commit, OL Hakeim Smalls, a Boise State commit and punter Kyler Phillips.
Snohomish Panthers senior DB Bridger Ulrich, a senior, earned 3A All State recognition. O’Dea senior lineman Jeremiah Nonu earned 3A Player of the Year.
