About to head out to practice, but saw a few things I had to pass along:
- The Lake Stevens School District has released a timeline for the renovating of Lake Stevens stadium. In a couple years, Lake Stevens will be a two high school town, and all home games for both schools will be played at LSHS.
- The Times high school blog has more on Dylan Youngblood, following up on this morning's story. Youngblood says that the missing player in his ten-man play was a wide receiver who "doesn't do much." Gotta love the lineman mentality, and as the Times points out, always great to see someone like Youngblood get some press.
- Tom Wyrich has his weekend picks up, leading with an item on this Friday's big game. Wyrich calls this one a "great contrast in style", highlighting M-P's "old Terry Ennis put it to' em running game" and Lake Stevens' spread, which Wyrich says the Vikings have been running "as well as anyone". Wyrich calls for a 38-35 Viking win.
By the way, kudos to Tom and the rest of the Seattle Times for their outstanding Wesco and Viking coverage. They are really on top of it, and Wyrich has been a great addition since he came aboard last year.
I'll have more later, including an update from practice and this week's Wesco picks.
