The Fastest, Most Aggressive Police Car on The Streets? Yeah, We’ll Take Three.
LSPD cops three 2022 Police Interceptors at a cool $73k each

The Ford Police Interceptor Utility is the fastest, most aggressive police car on U.S. streets — and soon the Lake Stevens Police Department will have three more of ‘em — at a cost of around $73,000 each.
The Lake Stevens City Council approved the acquisition of three new 2022 Ford Police Interceptor AWD SUVs last month, alongside a parallel plan to surplus several existing vehicles.
Two of the new Interceptors will entire patrol service and the third will be assigned to the newly-created position of Deputy Chief.
According to State of Michigan road tests, the 2022 Interceptors are powered by a 3.3 liter Ecoboost engine that reaches a top speed of 150 mph, and hit 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds while deploying 400 horsepower.
The City purchases new police vehicles on a rotating schedule that calls for the surplussing (or auctioning-off) of existing vehicles once they reach 100,000 miles. The three new 2022 SUVs are being purchased slightly ahead of time with existing funds from the budget.

The base price for a brand new 2022 Ford Police Interceptor SUV AWD is $47,898.00, but the LSPD package comes fully-equipped with necessary internal and external upgrades including a $6,500 Motorola radio, a $3,500 Panasonic “tough book” computer notebook, a $1900 mobile printer and a $2,800 software package.
