Seattle Bracing for Unrest; Major Protests Set for Wednesday and Saturday
The people who brought you CHOP and the murder of Antonio Mays, Jr are back at it again -- with two major protests kicking off over the four days, all at Capital Hill's Cal Anderson Park.
SEATTLE — Urban unrest returns to Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park tomorrow and Saturday as the loose-knit group of leftist affinity groups that make up the local protest community have called an emergency Anti-Ice protest Wednesday at Cal Anderson Park, to be followed closely by Saturday’s local version of nationwide “NO KINGS” protests targeting the Trump administration.
The protests scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday are the first major Antifa-linked planned events to hit Seattle since the shooting death of Antonio Mays, Jr ended the CHOP June 29, 2020.
With questions regarding the unsolved murder of 16-year-old Mays still circling – an unarmed black youth shot to death by Capital Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) security in 2020 – recently resurfacing, the local leftist protest community responsible for both CHOP – and the murder of Mays – seem content to leave their murder of a young black life (at a Black Lives Matter protest) in the rearview mirror, focusing instead on the plight of undocumented immigrants and the Trump Administration's nationwide ICE campaigns targeting those who are in the United States illegally.
Mays’s body was already riddled with .223 rounds as he lay pinned inside a wrecked Jeep Cherokee at a CHOP border checkpoint.
