Seahawks QB Jacob Eason visits Vikings prior to State Semifinal
The Lake Stevens and UW alumnus stopped by Thanksgiving Day practice and imparted some words of encouragement
Former standout Lake Stevens Viking quarterback and current Seattle Seahawk Jacob Eason visited today’s Thanksgiving morning practice at Lake Stevens High School.
The Vikings are prepping for Saturday’s State Semifinal game vs Eastlake (1 pm, Pop Keeney Stadium, pre-sale tickets only: bit.ly/LSVikingsTix).
It’s not uncommon for former players to visit as they return home, but the fact that a current Seahawk QB found time to attend practice definitely made a positive impact on the team.
Eason addressed the team privately and was in no hurry to leave. He spoke with multiple coaches and players individually and played a game of catch with Viking WR Drew Carter.
Eason led the Vikings to the State Semifinals in 2015, where the Vikings lost to Skyline 37-34.
Eason was a three year starter for the Vikings, a consensus 5-star recruit and the top rated QB prospect and the 7th rated prospect overall in the 2016 class per Rivals.com. He committed to the University of Georgia and started as a freshman in SEC play for the Bulldogs before finishing his career at UW. Eason was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2020 and was signed by the Seahawks earlier this season.
