Rainier Beach Principal’s FBI Interview Caught the Attention of Federal Prosecutors. Did Seattle Public Schools Notice?

Rainier Beach High School principal Annie Patu voluntarily sat down with the FBI in December 2024 amid the ongoing Jackson Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) federal court proceedings.
By the time the interview was over, she had implicated herself as a potential witness and had prosecutors objecting to her request to assist the court.
During the sit-down, FBI agents questioned Patu about a financial transaction in which she sent funds to Tianna Karastan—a federally indicted drug courier and prostitute—at the request of Patu’s sister, Matelita “Marty” Jackson. Marty Jackson is one of five of Patu’s family members indicted in the Jackson Drug Trafficking Organization. Karastan was later arrested while transporting 60,000 fentanyl pills on commercial flights using ghost bags.
