Alright, Chandler asked for it, so here it is: the 2008 4A State Football bracket. Follow the link to download.
While we're at it, we might as well make this into a contest. Fill out your bracket (for week one only) before games begin Friday and email it back to me at kevin.hulten@gmail.com. We'll have a contest in two parts:
1. Whoever picks the most Week One winners will win a framed picture of the player of their choice from our archives. We will get it signed and personalized by the player in question, if you so choose.
2. After Week One of the playoffs are through, we will put up the new bracket and we will pick the rest of the games through the championship - like we all do on our Final Four brackets. The winner will be crowned the Purple and Gold Pigskin prognosticator of the year, and we will work on a prize that will blow your minds.
The reason we can't simply pick the whole bracket now is because the teams from the eastside of the state re-seed after this week's games based on record, so the bracket has to be redone after this week. The eastside games are asterisked (is that a word?) on the bracket. Rob and I will email our picks to Mitch for safekeeping, so none of you will complain when we win :)
Here are some resources to help you pick your games: the WIAA Bracket website, the Seattle Times list of pairings, and the Spokesman-Reviews GSL page.
