After a 15-month criminal investigation, Lake Stevens police recommended prosecutors hit 55-year-old Mark Hein with multiple charges relating to his relationship with a minor female student.
LSSD doesn't need to wait for prosecutors or LSPD, the District has it's own policies and it is clear he broke many of them. No personnel investigation should take this long w/in an organization.
The only thing that could be out of their control is a Title IV.
But yeah it’s clear that Det Parnell proved he broke all sorts of pertinent rules. He even made her feel uncomfortable with his leg rubbing. i mean he rubbed the leg of the detective …in a criminal interview …about behavior like leg rubbing. It’s very meta if nothing else.
I hope that justice will be served. 6,600 or 9,999 or even more is not an excuse, they should do their job and given that the result of LSPD’s investigation points to wrong-doing, I cannot understand why nothing’s happening.
Sad to see that tax payer’s dollars going to a criminal and the victim continues to suffer seeing that nothing’s happening. Wish there is something we as a community can do.
Agree. Honestly I’m far more concerned that Julian Willis isn’t getting charged. Julian lives like 800 yards from Frontier Village, he’s already chased one girl around Haggen after he was outed…he’s already fled rape charges in three states and I had three “new” victims come forward w their stories via J425 as a result of our reporting. It’s also how the teenager got away from him at Haggen. She recognized his face from our social media posts. Anyway, Mukilteo and LSPD arrested him in late June and submitted a criminal referral calling for five felony sex crimes, they told the judge and the prosecutor that he raped a patient at a rehab clinic + fled rape allegations in three states AND they said they have Dna match on his felony charges. In addition to being a flight risk he’s also got a history of DV and he just got his firearms rights back. So he’s a crazy violent armed rapist who is still actively preying on girls even tho he faces like life in prison. Assuming he gets charged: THEY DIDNT CHARGE HIM and he’s free with no conditions of release. After raping a minor student five times in the damn classroom.
