The Vikings just got by Marysville last night as two distrubing trends continue to emerge: shaky free throw shooting and a tendency to cast up inaccurate long range shots. The Vikes shot under 50% at the line for the second straight game, making just 5 of 15 free throws. The Vikes were only five of 18 from deep, as just two players made threes. Â Perhaps most telling is the fact that the Vikes' best low-post threat, two time all Wesco forward Shane Kaska continues to gun from the outside without accuracy. He was just two of eight last night, and is shooting about 25 percent from long range on the season. On the flip side, Kaska was seven of nine inside the stripe...showing a knack for the midrange and the post. Â Aaron Maw continued his excellent all-around play with ten points, five rebounds and five assists, and Kaska led the Vikes with 18 points and seven boards. Â The Vikes continue to make up for shoddy shooting with disruptive defense and hustle. The Vikes have had more steals than their opponent in each game this season.
