Lake's Ty Tautolo Named First Team All State Defensive Line
Viking edge rusher dominated in the playoffs and finished tenth in 4A in tackles. Junior standout has ten high major offers.
LAKE STEVENS - Junior Ty Tautolo of Lake Stevens was named to the Washington State Football Coaches Association First Team All State Team for 4A today.
Tautolo moved to Lake Stevens from across Machias prior to the season and made an immediate impact on defense and special teams.
But Tautolo emerged as an unstoppable force late in the playoffs, pressuring the Graham-Kapowsin passing game and providing Lake’s most dependable answer to the near-unstoppable Lance McGee. Tautolo led Lake in tackles in the semifinals and state finals, over which the 6’5 260 pound enforcer compiled 20 total tackles and nine tackles for a loss.
On the season, Tautolo was tenth in 4A and second on Lake Stevens with 90 tackles. Tautolo finished one behind Keegan Brown for the lead in tackles for a loss with 31 and added six sacks.
Tautolo played some tight end for the Viks and had a catch against Sumner week one. He’s expected to make the switch to starting left tackle under the tutelage of Vikings line coach Geoff Dishion, a move that will certainly have recruiters’ attention.
Tautolo is a high-three star prospect rated fifth in WA for 2027 on the 247 Composite. He has at least ten known high major offers including Notre Dame, UW and Oregon.
