Game Preview: Undefeated Vikings vs Kamiak
Homecoming and Senior Night festivities at 5:30 pm, kickoff at 7:00 pm at LS Stadium
A dark October night. A hurricane-sized storm lurking off shore. Two undefeated opponents. Homecoming. Senior Night. #Blackout.
What more do you want?
The undefeated Lake Stevens Vikings (5-0, 2-0) welcome the undefeated Kamiak Knights (6-0, 2-0) to Lake Stevens Stadium tonight for a battle of undefeated Wesco 4A opponents.
Kickoff is at 7:00 pm and the pregame parade is at 5:30 pm.
Kamiak represents the second most difficult test of the Viking season (behind only the season opening win at O’Dea).
The Knights (like the Vikings) are riding a 10 game win streak into tonight’s contest, powered by an under-center jet sweep offensive attack. Kamiak has outscored opponents by more than 30 points and are led by senior all purpose weapon Wesley Garrett. Garrett has stacked up 1,280 yards from scrimmage and 16 TDs this season, with his gains almost equally divided between runs and catches.
Junior QB Ben’tre Worthy will be under center, completing an impressive 80% of his passes for 949 yards, 13 TDs and two interceptions, while also adding 134 yards and 5 TDs on the ground.
Lake Stevens — ranked second in the latest state AP Poll — is led by the usual coterie of stars — everyone is healthy for tonight’s game.
Senior QB Grayson Murren is completing almost 75% of his throws and has accumulated 1,159 yards and 15 TDs through the air.
RB Jayden Limar, a four star recruit set to pare his college choices down to five next week, is averaging almost 200 total yards per game.
WR/RB/PR Trayce Hanks has produced an unbelievable 17.5 yards per carry as well as 7 TDs, three INTs and two punt return TDs.
Eastern Washington University commit Drew Carter paces the receiving attack averaging 108 yards per game along with 8 TD catches.
