Everything is unofficial, but I just spoke with Mitch and have a couple of things to pass on:
- Nick Baker passed for over 350 yards, 5 TD's, no INT's in the loss. He set the single game TD and yardage marks, as well as the season TD and yardage marks tonight....with at least five games tonight.
- Taylor Cox and Riley Carr repeatedly burned the Vikings on direct snap runs with QB Andy Gay on the sideline. When Gay was in, he hit several deep posts, as we discussed earlier.
- Tyler Bryant had three TD receptions, Trevor Riecks had two.
- RB Duke Dolphin and TE/DE Eric Huswick left the game with injuries.
- After scoring second in OT to bring the score to 49-48, Jackson called a timeout and - seeing as how it was a non-conference game - elected to go for the win and get off the field. Riley Carr punched in the two point conversion.
- The Vikings were driving at the end of regulation with the score tied 42-42. RB Dylan Youngblood fumbled on the Jackson eleven yard line with 23 seconds remaining, ending the drive and sending the contest to OT.
- What a game. It will be available on Comcast On Demand by Sunday, and we'll have video highlights posted later this weekend.
Homecoming next weekend, and RB Bo Dickinson is hoping to return to practice next week.
