LAKE STEVENS — By next year, the city’s historic core will be down one civic campus and up a couple new multi-purpose buildings plus a roundabout, thanks to the City of Lake Stevens’ comprehensive project redeveloping Main Street infrastructure.

Construction near North Cove Park is ongoing throughout Summer 2024. The project includes new curb, gutter, planters, a multi-use path, an improved sidewalk, along with much needed utilities upgrades.

A city release stated that the project’s urban design improvements are “aimed at uplifting the downtown atmosphere, (by creating) an inviting, sustainable, and vibrant city center”.
