Western Washington is experiencing a dip in the rate of new Coronavirus cases with the October 18 statewide vaccine mandate looming.

The current seven-day case rate is 234 infections per 100,000 people. This is on par with the status as of last January and down from a Summer Delta-virus infused high of over 300 infections per 100,000 people.
