County's proposed budget swells 20 percent

Funded by a rosy projection of economic recovery and an increase in the county portion of property taxes, County Executive Dave Somers unveiled his annual Snohomish County Budget proposal last week via a remote-video feed.

The $1.2 Billion proposal features a baseline increase of 20 percent over last year’s budget.
