LAKE STEVENS - The City passed its most recent financial and accountability audit from the State of WA, continuing an exemplary record of a dozen straight audits without any findings.
In short, the State checked City’s bookkeeping and found that best practices are observed, laws are followed and therefore accountability encouraged and achieved.
“Transparency and accountability ensure fiscal compliance to safeguard taxpayer dollars,” said City Administrator Gene Brazel. “The end result saves taxpayers’ money and delivers services more efficiently.”
