BREAKING: At Least 14 Injured in Porch Collapse at Camp Killoqua
EMS responded to a 9:07 pm call Friday stating numerous camp attendees were injured when they fell through a collapsing porch.
UPDATE (11:20) CAMP DIRECTOR KRISSY DAVIS TELLS J425 THAT **NO CHILDREN** WERE AMONG THE 14+ INJURED IN THE STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE AT CAMP KILLOQUA TONIGHT.
STANWOOD (10:01 pm) — A multi-county urban search and rescue and mass injury incident response is underway — with over a dozen units on scene — after a porch collapse injured at least 14 campgoers — eight seriously — at Stanwood’s Camp Killoqua Friday night.
Multiple North County Regional Fire Authority units are currently on scene at what they describe in EMS traffic as “a structural collapse (deck collapse)” near Lake Goodwin.
The camp is currently hosting a group of area K-12 students.
Snohomish County Emergency Medical Services responded to an aid call at 9:07 PM stating that numerous campers at the popular Lake Goodwin area camp has been injured in a structure collapse.
EMTs arriving on scene categorized at least eight victims in serious condition according to scanner traffic.
